To further strengthen trade union organization building, fully leverage the role as a bridge and link, and unite the strength of employees, Wil Welding held the Second Session of the First Trade Union Members' Congress on October 29. The meeting was chaired by Li Danhui, the Women Workers' Committee Member of the first-term union.
The conference reviewed and approved the work report on trade union activities presented by Zhou Baojin, Chairman of the First Trade Union Committee, as well as the report on trade union fund supervision delivered by Song Liqun, Director of the First Financial Review Committee. It also elected the new committees: the Trade Union Committee, the Financial Review Committee, and the Women Workers' Committee.
Wang Pengquan, Chairman of the Harbin Municipal Education, Science, Culture, Health, and Sports Trade Union, attended the meeting to provide guidance and offered four key suggestions: First, strengthen political leadership and further advance ideological education among employees; second, build a highly skilled workforce and continuously enhance employee qualifications; third, reinforce employee services and earnestly fulfill the trade union's fundamental functions; and fourth, bolster internal capacity-building efforts to ensure the union remains dynamic and vibrant.
Chen Bo, Secretary of the Party Branch and General Manager of Wei Company, extended congratulations on behalf of the Party Branch to the successful convening of the conference. He also expressed his hopes and expectations for the newly elected Trade Union Committee, emphasizing that the committee should uphold the correct political direction, demonstrate new achievements in building ideological consensus, and truly fulfill its role as a "bridge and link." Furthermore, he urged the committee to deliver even more thoughtful services and implement more practical initiatives, thereby driving trade union work to new heights and achieving outstanding results once again.
The successful convening of this election conference marks the beginning of a new journey for trade union work. The newly elected trade union committee will unite and lead all employees, approaching their tasks with enthusiasm and unwavering confidence to usher in a fresh chapter for trade union activities.
