In order to build a graduate education system with the characteristics of the General Institute of Machinery, improve the construction level of basic courses for graduate students in our college, and build an integrated course of production, teaching and research with the intersection of machinery and materials, and the integration of foundation and practice. On March 14, the Graduate Work Department of the Group organized a seminar on independent teaching courses for graduate students. Du Bing, vice chairman of the academic committee and chief engineer, attended the meeting. Nearly 70 members of the academic committee, leaders in charge of graduate students of various training units, representatives of master and doctoral tutors and relevant management personnel attended the meeting through a combination of online and offline.
The Graduate Work Department introduced the background and significance of setting up self-taught courses, and put forward the framework and implementation plan of the course. The participants fully discussed the necessity of the course, the construction of the course content and the methods of development. All training units agreed that it is the general trend and development need for the group to create distinctive self-taught courses. Everyone has a mission and has put forward constructive measures in combination with the characteristics of the discipline and the main responsibility.
Education is the basis for the emergence of talent and the forerunner of scientific and technological development. Du Bing pointed out that the construction of self-taught courses is of great significance. It is the starting point for graduate degree education to focus on the "four modernizations" and consolidate the development of a new industrialization road. It is the foundation for the group to build a characteristic graduate school and a necessary way to promote the high-quality development of graduate education at this stage. This work is difficult and challenging. The group has the foundation and ability. All training units must have confidence and determination to make full use of the group's innovation team resources to "gnaw" this hard bone.
The meeting reached a consensus on the key and difficult issues in independent teaching, and the group and various training units cooperated together to take this seminar as an opportunity to weave a security network for the construction of the graduate curriculum system and promote the graduate education work of the college to a new level.
